[Custom Rom] LegacyROM 1.0 for GPD-Q88+ (Q88S) Kitkat (Android 4.4.2)

The purpose of this firmware provided by Skelton and Tincore is to provide a firmware just with the essential apps and tools needed for gaming, with no bloatware applications. It also includes several fixes to make system more stable and usable. This time is based on stock v.1.0.6, only kernel is built from source



FEATURES:

   Rooted with superSU
   Based in stock v1.0.6 except kernel.
   Google Play better compatibility (device spoofed as Samsung Galaxy S3)
   Init.d support for manual scripts (you can add scripts that you want to be run in init)
   No bloatware or chinese applications. Only apps added are Tincore Keymapper, Tincore Quickflasher,  and Total Commander, and CIFS Manager. They are all installed in userspace area so they can be removed easily in case you don't like them. You will need to install your own emulators from google play store.
   Stock mapper is compatible
   Added reboot app by Petrus (thanks for the app)
   Oveclocked kernel to 1,6 ghz as optional patch (see above for further instructions)
   New kernel compiled from source with following features:
- Some modifications to the joystick driver. Some minor fixes here and there to improve stabiltiy.
   Vsync video playback fixed: Video playback is smooth now.

This tool is used for remapping or increased compatibility from gamepad.

This tool is used to flash kernels or other system modifications
without PC or recovery.

INSTALLATION:

In order to install the firmware you need RK Batch Tool in your PC included in the rar package.

   Open Batch tool and select the Legacy_XX image file (.img).
   With GPD power off, just connect it via USB Cable to PC. Wait until battery charging animation dissappears. Then just press and Hold Volume + button and Press Power. RK Batch Tool will detect device, and you'll see the number 1 with a green box. If you see with a pink box, just select Switch Button until you see it in green. If the system ask you for some drivers, then just use the one included in the Batch Tool (or using driverInstaller package to install rockchip USB drivers). If you have problems with the combo power and volume+ , use power and Select.
   Once device is detected with a green BOX, just select Restore and wait patiently while firmware is written.
   Device will auto reboot to recovery and format your partitions. Just wait patiently until all process is done, since it's a long process and first boot can take several minutes, so just wait until it finishes and you see the home Android launcher.

PATCHES:

We have included several patches in the rar than can be flashed via Quickflasher. Just copy them to mnt/sdcard/quickflasher. Patches are the following:

   Kernel Overclocked: Is the kernel included in the rom but overclocked to 1,6 ghz
   Kernel_standard: The kernel that comes by default with this firmware, in case you need to re-install it.

GENERAL TIPS and CONSIDERATIONS:

   Default CPU governor (interactive) and I/O Scheduler are pretty conservative. For very demanding applications like PPSSPP or Reicast I suggest using ondemand CPU governor and deadline I/O scheduler. You can control this by using a CPU app like SETCPU, NoFrillsCPU, CPU tuner, etc...
   If something (an app or game) is not working, send me a logcat to see what's going on. All complaints just saying “This app game doesn't work” without a logcat will be ignored. And of course apps should be legally obtained. If your get an game or app from unofficial sources and does not work, then buy it and try again.

   If you want to make your microSD as primary sdcard, just go to settings/storage and select external SD as primary sdcard. This will swap internal and external memory. Then power off and next boot memories will be swapped.

   If you flash OC kernel do it at your own risk, if you find it is not stable in your device then flash the 1,4 ghz kernel.

   Don't ask for updates because I don't know if I will update this ROM or not. My time is very limited at the moment and my enthusiasm in developing is coming to an end, so I don't know if after this device there will be more or not. Also my device is a prototype with a 2800 mah battery and a slow 4 GB nand flash, so difficult to test for me without a final device.

Parece que meu kernel não está a funcionar com dispositivos de varejo (total GPD, o que você faria?). ¡I ll re-enviá-lo quando eu tiver tempo com kernel personalizado, embora kernel padrão tem menos recursos do que a minha ..... Mas eu não pode fazer mais nada, se mudou alguma coisa na placa .....

Lin de Rom é reuploaded. Se alguém pode confirmar que selecionar e começar a trabalhar, me avise.

O legacy rom e tosck rom são instalados da mesma maneira, por isso é usando o mesmo methiod com este rom estoque: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1kTqlyRH Embora espero que desta vez usando os botões do kernel estoque vai funcionar. Se não, eu não vou ser capaz de fazer qualquer coisa para este dispositivo. Overclock também é perdido Tenho medo até que eu possa construir um kernel personalizado a trabalhar a partir do zero. Qualquer caso, este será provavelmente o meu último firmware para um dispositivo de jogos Android. Actualmente, eu não tenho o tempo ea motivação necessária para fazer muito desenvolvimentos.
